                                                                  The Karnataka Private Medical Colleges Association (K.P.M.C.A), Karnataka Dental Colleges Association (K.P.D.C.A) & Karnataka Un-aided Private Engineering Colleges Association have in their endeavor to offer a "Single Window" approach to students seeking admissions, have evolved a self-imposed discipline in implementing the verdict of the apex court and have embarked on an endeavor to develop an effective, credible and alternative seat selection process for admissions & have decided to form a "Consortium of Private Medical, Dental & Engineering Colleges" named as 'COMED-K'

Comedk is the test conducted parallel to CET-Karnataka by the private Medical, Dental and Engineering College Association (comedk) The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association has entrusted the task of conducting a common entrance test to the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka for the academic year 2005-2006, for candidates aspiring to pursue Postgraduate courses in Medical and Dental studies and Undergraduate studies in Medicine, Dentistry and Engineering in the state of Karnataka, Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka" – COMEDK Karnataka admission 2005 also conducting test every year FOR Exam Rajiv Gandhi University ( RGUHS). The list of the members of institutions participating in the {COMEDK} Results testing program, along with the branches offered by them, is published in this brochure and result 2006 online forms/Brochure ,admission colleges, to apply / results

 

Comedk PGET 

General Instructions to Candidates:

Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the application form. Please ensure that you have the following ready at hand before you start filling up the Online Application Form:
NOTE: Send the Application in A4 size envelops only. Do not fold the application form.

  • DD drawn in favour of "COMEDK 2008", payable at Bangalore for Rs.1500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred Only).
  • All marks cards (First Year/Semester to Final Year/Semester)
  • Attempt Certificate.
  • Ensure that the online application form is filled up properly and completely.
  • After you have filled your Online application form, click on the submit button only once to send the details to the server. The server will assign you an application number, and provide the facility to view/print your online application form with the details you have filled, along with the application number.
  • Only then take a print of the application form.
  • The completed application form must have the signature and left thumb, forefinger and middle finger impressions of the candidate.
  • Kindly do not send any original documents along with the application form.
  • Kindly stick your recent (not older than six months) passport size colour photograph only in the space provided. Application with smudged / tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted. Do not staple or pin your photograph to the application form. Do not Sign. No attestation is required on the photograph.
  • Please adhere to the time schedule enlisted in the calendar of events.
  • Incomplete / incorrect applications are liable to be rejected without prior information to the candidate.
  • Any application received after the last date is liable to be rejected.

    Please send the following along with the completed Application Form:
  • Demand Draft drawn in favour of "COMEDK 2008", payable at Bangalore for Rs. 1500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred Only) application number to be written at the back of the DD. Check for the banker's signature on the DD.
  • Photocopy of Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate / Internship Completion Certificate / Internship Completed Certificate / Registration Certificate
  • Photocopy of Attempt Certificate
  • Photocopies of All marks cards including that of failed year/semester if any (First Year/Semester to Final Year/Semester)
  • COMEDK Copy of the Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof (Once you submit your online form, you will also have a provision to print a format of this form, which must be attested by the Head of the Institution where he/she has last studied).
  • An additional copy of your recent passport-size colour photograph with the application number written on the back of the photograph.
  • The completed Application Form should reach the COMEDK office on or before 05/01/08, by post / by courier.
  • Completed application forms are not received in person either in COMEDK office or any member institution.
  • COMEDK is not responsible for any errors the candidate makes while filling up the Application Form.
  • COMEDK will not entertain any changes in the application form and no refund will be made.
  • Candidates who are listed in the red list featured on our website need to contact COMEDK Help desk (080-41132810) for clarifications.
  • COMEDK is not responsible for any loss or damage which might occur during Postal or Courier delivery.

Explanation of the fields that needs to be filled up in the application form:

  • Name of the Applicant:
    Type your full Name (as it appears in your School Leaving Certificate - SSC/SSLC/10th), your name should not exceed 30 characters including the blank spaces. Should your full name exceed 30 characters, and does not fit in the space provided, kindly use initials. Please use a blank space between initials. Kindly do not use any titles like Mr., Mrs., Dr., and Miss/Ms. etc.

     
  • Date of Birth:
    Provide your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format only.
    For e.g.: If your date of birth is 3rd September 1989, fill as 03/09/1989

     
  • Course intending to apply:
    Please select the course you intend to apply for. Please ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the course you select.
    For e.g.:
    If you intend to apply for Post Graduate Medical Courses, Select the box next to Medical.
    If you intend to apply for Post Graduate Dental Courses, Select the box next to Dental

     
  • Gender:
    Select the appropriate item only.

     
  • Nationality:
    Please mention your nationality

     
  • By Birth/Domicile:
    For consideration into Karnataka category, the domicile rules of the Government of Karnataka will be strictly followed.

     
    1. If you belong to Karnataka by birth/domicile, and have schooling for not less than 10 years in Karnataka and MBBS/BDS degrees in colleges recognized by MCI/DCI and GOI established by law and located in Karnataka State.
    2. Indian Citizens of Karnataka origin, who studied for MBBS/BDS degrees in colleges outside Karnataka State, recognized by MCI/DCI and GOI and affiliated to any university established by law in India are also eligible. Such candidates have to produce certificates issued by the competent authority to show that he/she or his/her parents (Father/Mother) has been a resident of Karnataka State for a period of not less than 10 years. (Ref: Appendix IV for format of certificate)

    Fill in if you belong to any Religious/Linguistic minority.
    Claims made by candidates as belonging to Karnataka origin or Religious or Linguistic minority status etc is not verified while sending TAT for COMEDK-PGET 2008. However, if such a candidate qualifies for attending centralised counselling, it will be his/her responsibility to furnish original documents issued by competent authorities to the satisfaction of COMEDK authorities, failing which such a candidate will be considered only under All India General Merit.   • Address:
    Provide your address for communication. Kindly note that all formal communications from COMEDK will be sent to you at this address only. Please use blank spaces to separate words.

    Avoid Superscription such as Rd, Th, St such as 3rd etc. Kindly avoid Roman letters in your address. Specify the name of your city, state or pin code in the columns provided only; do not mention your city name in the space provided for address.

     
  • City:
    Kindly select the city from the list. If you are from any other city that is not listed in the table, select "Others" in the list provided, and fill in your name of city in the area provided (The city mentioned have to be same for the address mentioned in the relevant column.

     
  • State:
    Select the state from the list (The state mentioned have to be same for the address mentioned in the relevant column)

     
  • PIN Code:
    Fill up with the appropriate 6-digit PIN code.

     
  • Payment Details:
    DD. No.: Fill up the six-digit DD number given in the bottom of the demand draft.
    Drawee Bank: Select the name of the bank from where the DD was purchased.

    Kindly fill your Phone number with the relevant STD Code, use zero prefixed to the STD code and do not leave any blank spaces between the STD code and your telephone number. Unless you enter the phone number the application form cannot be downloaded. For e.g.: If your STD code is 040 and your telephone number is 12345678,
    then your full telephone number will be "04012345678"

  • Marks Obtained:
    Please enter the total marks you have obtained in each year during the course of study in M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. Please ensure that the marks entered by you include the marks obtained in the theory, practical papers, internal assessment, grace marks and viva also for all the subjects of the respective years. Marks obtained at the University Exam during the successful attempt should alone be entered (supporting marks card/s to be enclosed). Also mention the number of attempts you have taken to clear the respective years. Once you have filled up all the marks and the attempts year wise in the relevant columns, cross verify with the "Grand Total".

    In the case of foreign students where the marking system is not prevalent and only grades are given, they may indicate the grade and should attach the authenticated grade report giving marks equivalent ranges issued by the university in which the candidate has studied. Documents in a language other than English should be accompanied by a translated English copy authenticated and notarized.

    Note: All the marks cards including that of failed year/semester if any needs to be enclosed.

     
  • Type of University:
    Tick the appropriate box depending on, whether your university is Indian or Foreign.

     
  • Declaration:
    The candidate must sign the declaration in the spaces provided for the same in the application form. The Date and Place must also be filled up in the application form. After the submission of the online application form, the candidate should take a print of his/her certificate of Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof (COMEDK Copy and Candidate Copy) made available on the website, have it attested from the Head of the Institution, where the candidate has last studied, and submit the COMEDK Copy along with the print of the online application form, the DD and an additional copy of the candidate's recent passport-size colour photograph.

    Any application form without the signature and left thumb, forefinger and middle finger impressions of the candidate is liable to be rejected, without any further correspondence.
